If I remember correctly then I know how to juggle since I was 18. Actually I am not spending much time on juggling nowadays but from time to time I pass by at a juggling club in the University near by. From there I know several people who are professional fire jugglers. The other day three groups from there had a performance where I had the chance to take lots of pictures.
One Flower, Two Perspectives
The same flower (cosmos bipinnatus commonly called the garden cosmos) on the same day at the same time (in a relative way) but from two different perspectives.
Valle de Viñales
This picture shows the view over the stunning Valle de Viñales which is located in the west of Cuba. It has a very fertile soil and the best Cuban tobacco is grown there. The small rocks are called Mogotes and are up to 400 m high.
Remedios is one of the oldest cities in Cuba. It is located five kilometers from the northern coast. With it’s about 45,000 habitants Remedios is a sleepy and quiet place with lots of old lovely colonial buildings. Lots of them haven’t see a new paint for decades, but I really like their grubby charms.
Valle de Ingenios
The so called Valle de Ingenios is a very fertile valley which was used to cultivate sugar cane in former times. The landscape is overwhelming.
The second picture shows a sugar mill which was used to squeeze out the juice from the sugar cane.
The third picture shows a big tower that was used to keep the slaves, which were working on the sugar fields, under surveillance. Nowadays it’s a tourist point which offers a beautiful view over the valley.
