It’s about a year ago since I visited the Adlerwarte Berlebeck, a bird park with nearly 50 bird species which is located in the Teutoburg Forest in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The location in the low forested hills provide an excellent thermal lift for the eagles and other birds of prey. During flight shows, which take place a few times a day, you can see the bald eagles, red kites, buzzards and hawks flying over the hills and also coming pretty close to the visitors, catching the chicken nuggets from their trainer.
